DAY 8 - Favorite group performance #2
“Singin’ in the rain/Umbrella”
Inevitable. I just love Singin’ in the rain, it’s one of my favorite musicals, and it’s actually the very first live-action musical I watched on my own free will and absolutely loved. I was like twelve or thirteen, we were vacationing in Orlando, and my sister and I went to the little...

ronen-v: HEROES SUCK. HERE’S WHY:
Are there any archetypical epic stories in western culture where the hero is trying to DO something positive?
I find myself watching movies lately empathizing more with the villians.
Thoughts welcome.

– Attention, Space Cadets: Do Not Proposition Women in the Elevator (via petitefeministe)
This makes all the sense in the world. I get the feeling that, as much as I have demonstrated to be perfectly logic and have very good sense and be very wary all the time, I can’t help but think that, if...

DAY 7 - Favorite group perfomance #1
Forever a warblerette.
This is one of my favorite performances, favorite covers, and favorite episodes. The thing about this performance is it’s the first moment in a long time in which you see Kurt genuinely happy.
I really like this song, but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT when it’s the Warblers putting their spin on...

watched "hesher" the other day...
I honestly don’t know how to feel about it.
I mean, it wasn’t a waste of time. It was pretty funny, and JGL sold the whole bamf thing. But the ending was… underwhelming.
I liked everything else, tho. The actors were good. Rainn Wilson blew me away with a surprisingly angsty performace. The kid was good. Natalie Portman, JGL, were both weird to watch, but in a good way.

OU. EM. GEE. WHAT A FANTASTIC FILM.
J.J. Abrams directs a tribute to Steven Spielberg and those wholesome family movies featuring kids and their adventures and misadventures, and how adults won’t listen, and that big cinematic happy ending.
Like “The Goonies” and “E.T.”.
Fantastic.
Those kid actors blew me away. They had intensity and awkwardness and good...

RUNNER-UP #2 Favorite duets
I have to include this one, because it’s my absolute favorite Fleetwood Mac song (and I have to say, I was beyond thrilled when they dedicated a whole episode to this legendary band), and also on my top ten of all-time favorite songs.
This is a pretty awesome cover, right up there with The Corrs’s tribute version too.
It also...
